- This course took us through the various stages of creating an animation from concept to completion using Flash CS3.
The links that follow are my coursework assignments completed through my college education thus far. For each I will provide a brief description of the assignment and present my completed assignment.
Below are the assignment descriptions and links to my Submitted work;
Week 1: Description/Outline of Final Animation Project
Write up a short description (50 words or less) and outline (1 page or less) of your final animation project. Minimum requirements for the final are: Minimum of 10 seconds of animation, maximum of 30 seconds, and must include at least one character.
Both the description and the outline can be combined in one Word document named firstnameLastnameOutline.doc.
Note: Everything in this course will need to be delivered in a digital format as per specifications provided by instructor.
Week 2: 12 Frame Bouncing Ball
Animate a 12 frame bouncing ball sequence as per specifications provided by instructor.
Final Project Character Sketches
Submit character sketches for your Final Project. Please submit 4 views of your character as per specifications provided by instructor.
Week 3: Final Project Storyboard
Create a storyboard for your final project. You may use any sequential format you choose, but a simple storyboard template is available from intructor.
Week 4: State machine/breakdown for your Final Project
State machine/flowchart for the primary character animations your Final Project animation as per specifications provided by instructor
Walk Cycle Create a walk cycle in Flash as per specifications provided by instructor
Week 5: Animatic/moving Storyboard
Using the storyboards you already submitted, create an animatic/moving storyboard for your final project as per specifications provided by instructor.
Week 6: Animate 3 sequences from your state machine for the Final Project
The three sequences should follow a path depicted in your state machine. For example, animate Idle-->Discovery Walk-->Walk-->Crouch. Add a splash screen between each sequence.
Week 7: Rough Assembly of your Final Project
Create a rough assembly of your Final Project in Flash including any completed animations; sections not yet completed should be filled in with animatic elements as per specifications provided by instructor.
Weeks 8-9: Continue to work on your Final Project as per specifications provided by instructor
